Rector Emeritus
Andrew J. W. Mullins was the rector of Epiphany from June 1998-July 2011. He was previously Vice-Dean of St. Mark's Cathedral in Seattle, Washington for nine years, where he was involved in major fundraising and renovation of the Cathedral. However, he is not a stranger to New York City having served at St. Bartholomew's Church on Park Avenue in Manhattan for 21 years from 1968 to 1990, after receiving his Masters of Divinity from the General Theological Seminary in 1967. In each parish he has served, Canon Mullins developed new programs and experienced growing congregations while working with churches ranging in memberships from over 2,000 to a small parish of 100 members. During his 40+ years as a priest of the church he has founded an early education program in each parish he has served, all of which have continued successfully. Fr. Mullins has been active in wide ranging programs and committees including; theater and TV productions, young adult ministry, stewardship and planned giving programs, parish partnerships with the Diocese of London, and chaplaincy at Ground Zero. He also serves on various boards and philanthropic organizations in New York City and Seattle, Washington.
