A labyrinth is a single path or unicursal tool for personal, psychological and spiritual transformation. Labyrinths are thought to enhance right brain activity. Labyrinths have been around for over 4000 years and are found in just about every major religious tradition in the world.
A few of your fellow members are interested in constructing a “Scriptural Labyrinth” as a new way to encounter the scripture as well as experiencing this ancient sacred spiritual tool.
We aim to construct a labyrinth in the garden after the 10 AM service on August 12th. We will be using John 6:35, 41-51, the gospel reading for that Sunday. The first verse is, “Jesus said to them, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’” We will be meeting over the coming weeks to discuss ideas and construction options. All are welcome!
