St. Francis Day - Blessing of the Animals Bring your beloved pet to church on Sunday, October 3rd at 8:30am,11am, and 6pm when we will bless all animals in attendance: birds, dogs, lizards, and much more! Treats will be provided by Pet Paradise.
Birding Ramble in the Ramble: Celebrate St. Francis Day
St. Francis loved the birds and all God’s other creatures. Join experienced birder Helen Goodkin for a birdwalk through the Ramble during the height of the Central Park migration season. We can expect to see Warblers, Kinglets, Thrushes, possibly an Oriole or Bunting, and maybe Pale Male. Meet at the outdoor café at the Boathouse in Central Park at 8 AM sharp on Sunday, October 3. We will leave the park in plenty of time for the 11:00 blessing of the animals at Epiphany. Bring good binoculars, (not opera glasses) dress for the weather, and wear walking shoes. Older children are encouraged, pets are not. Alert Helen that you are coming so she knows to look for you.
