Our classes enroll children from two to five years of age. What is the approximate teacher to child ratio in the classroom? The two’s program has a ratio of 3.5 children to 1 teacher. The three’s program has a ratio of 5 children to 1 teacher. The 4/5’s program has a ratio of 7.5 children to 1 teacher. Do you allow parents to visit their child during the day? Yes. Parents are always welcome to visit the school. Does my child need to be toilet trained to attend the Day School? Children are not required to be toilet trained. Do you take field trips? The 4/5’s class goes on field trips that support the curriculum, and are joined by chosen class parents. Will I be informed about my child’s progress? Yes. There are three formal parent-teacher conferences throughout the year. The faculty is always available to meet with parents. May I enroll my child in the middle of the academic year? Children typically enroll for the entire academic school year. However, if space is available, applications will be accepted throughout the year. Do you have any safety plans in case of emergency? Yes. There are regularly scheduled fire drills and an emergency evacuation plan. Are your teachers CPR and First Aid certified? Yes.
