Church of the Epiphany

Sunday School takes place each week during the 11:00 a.m. service. There are two classes, for children ages three to eight. The Sunday School attendees join the worship service at the Peace. Epiphany employs the "Living the Good News" Curriculum, which teaches a Bible story from the same lectionary that the adults are hearing during the service. Our Sunday School coordinator is Erin Miles, and our volunteer teachers include parishioners and parents.

Every summer Epiphany offers Vacation Bible School for one week for over 30 children from the Epiphany congregation and surrounding community.

This past summer, Discovery Canyon took place from August 10th - 14th from 10:00 am-1:00 pm ~ Open to children ages 3-10 ~ $50 per child (sibling discount was available)

Students rotated through activities including the daily Bible story, music, games, crafts, science, and learning about the Navajoland Area Mission.  For questions, or to volunteer, please call Jennifer

The Church of the Epiphany offers Acolyte Training at 10:30 AM on Sunday mornings for young people ages 8 and older. Acolytes carry "torches" (the tall processional candles) or a processional cross, and assist in leading the service in other ways.  Call or e-mail the church office to sign up!

Since its founding in 1833, The Church of the Epiphany has been a home for educational programs for children, and in 2004 a commitment was made to begin a new nursery school. Epiphany Day School, a private preschool on Manhattan's Upper East Side is non-denominational and accommodates children 2 to 6 years of age.

The nursery school is dedicated to promoting the emotional, social, cognitive and physical growth of the child. The child-centered preschool environment is a safe, nurturing and a fun-filled place where children can explore their own imaginations and the world around them.
