Congratulations, Jeremy!

Our Interim Choirmaster and Organist Jeremy Jelinek received 1st place in the George Mathison Competition of the Brooklyn Chapter of the American Guild of Organists this past Saturday, 13 March.
Parishioners, along with anyone who would like to attend, will have the opportunity to hear two of the works performed at this competition at the 30-minute organ recital on Good Friday, 2 April at 12:30pm. The full program on the 2nd will include J.S. Bach’s monumental Prelude and Fugue in E minor, praised as a “symphony for organ” (Spitta), a lush, intimate Prelude on a familiar Passion Chorale by Johannes Brahms, along with Jean-Baptiste Robin’s Regard vers l’Aïr, an illuminating journey through the instrument’s most evocative colors and tones.
